Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m MAYONA! I’m a singer, songwriter, vocal coach, and creative music director from Norfolk, VA. My love for music started when I was just four years old, watching my mom sing in church. One Sunday, I grabbed the courage to step up and sing too—and the pastor handed me a mic. I’ve been holding one ever since!

I didn’t grow up with private lessons or formal training, but I never let that stop me. I spent hours teaching myself, studying my favorite artists, and pushing my voice to grow stronger. That determination opened doors I once thought were impossible—I auditioned for NYU, got in, and graduated from their prestigious music program with top honors. Along the way, I’ve trained with incredible vocal coaches, performed on stages like Boston Symphony Hall and NYU Skirball, and even had my a cappella group recognized by YEBBA for our cover of her song “My Mind.”
Now, I’m pouring that knowledge and passion back into my community. I direct musicals with The Hurrah Players, teach musical theatre, and run my own studio—Great Victory Music—where I help aspiring singers and musicians grow their craft. I also lead my band, 3|4 (Three Four), blending R&B with a mix of sounds from our diverse musical backgrounds.
My next dream? Creating my debut album. To make it happen, I’m raising funds for recording, mixing, distribution, equipment, and music videos. With your support, I can bring this vision to life—sharing new music, powerful performances, and unforgettable moments with you.
